Polish Constitution Day – Flag Raising And Proclamation Ceremony
Friday, May 3, 2002 marks the 211th anniversary of the adoption of the Polish Constitution. To honor the occasion and to recognize the accomplishments of the Polish people here in the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County, the Polish flag will be raised in a ceremony at 11 a.m. at Pulaski Park, 934 Park Avenue (across from Sacred Heart Basilica).
Mayor Matthew J. Driscoll and County Executive Nicholas J. Pirro will issue a joint proclamation for the event. In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held at the Polish Home at 915 Park Avenue. The Polish Home Ladies Auxiliary will provide a reception at the Polish Home following the ceremony. The Polish flag will also fly for the day at City Hall on May 3rd.
