America's Service Club distributes 130,000 American flags in wake of tragedy
Americanism has always been a major focus for The National Exchange Club and its members. The national organization regularly supplies American flags to its membership across the United States and Puerto Rico, who hand them out to children at schools, parades and other events. Due to the tragedy on September 11, Americanism is soaring. Phones have been ringing off the hook with order after order for American flags.
In the week following September 11, the National Exchange Club sold over 130,000 flags to clubs, companies and individuals. This amount is three times the number of flags sold in the entire month of September last year.
The National Exchange Club promotes a variety of Americanism projects including Project GIVEAKIDAFLAGTOWAVE. In the week following the attacks in New York and Washington D.C., Exchange Clubs across the country have been conducting patriotic projects such as donating, distributing and displaying American flags, collecting and donating money to the relief effort, holding programs on Americanism, and more.
