Flags on City Owned Buildings In Birmingham will be flown at half-staff for 30 days
Birmingham Mayor Bernard Kincaid announced at Council meeting on June 08,
2004, that in accordance with President George W. Bush's recommendation to state and
local government officials, that the flag be flown at half-staff for 30 days, starting
immediately, in observance of the passing of United States' 40th President Ronald W.
Reagan.
In honor of former President Ronald Reagan, I would like to call upon all citizens, city
employees, and those who work in the City of Birmingham to have a moment of silence at
noon, on Friday, June 11, 2004, as we reflect on the death of President Reagan, said
Kincaid.
