Flags Should Fly at Full-Staff in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day
The Governor’s office issued a news release yesterday, May 12 notifying government agencies, businesses and private citizens that all U. S. and Nebraska flags should be flown at half-staff Saturday, May 15 in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
However, it has come to the attention of the Governor’s office that Saturday, May 15 is also Armed Forces Day and according to U.S. code, when these designations occur on the same day flags should be flown at full-staff.
