American Flags, An Art Form In Their Own Right!
Every country has flags to identify them. American flags number very high and come in a grand assortment. There are historical flags showing the evolution of the stars and strips otherwise known as the national flag. Many federal departments and military units have their own flag. And every state in the union has it’s own flag. The state flags usually reflect the nature of the people and location of the state. They display the flowers, colors and wildlife typical to the state. No two are alike. Their diversity can almost be viewed as an art form. Native Americans define their nations within the United States with flags. American flags are flown proudly where ever they fly.
Flying a flag is not as simple as it may sound. There is a long list of protocol and ethics related to the proper use of a flag. Abuse of this protocol is frowned upon by the general public and often punishable by law. American flags have been set fire to by hostile nations wishing to declare their dissatisfaction with American policies that affect their counties. This is seen as a great insult.
American flags are a strong symbol to the people of the United States. It is a very patriotic country and their flags are often used to rally support and offer comfort to citizens in times of unrest. Politicians are rarely seen without a large display of their flags when ever they are addressing their voting public. Most Americans attach great emotion to the flags they feel belong to them.
