The Marietta Beneficial Association (MBA), although not a veterans association, will dedicate a flag pole today, Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11, 1999 at 3:00 pm in memory of all Veterans that fought and died in defense of this country. Since it's Charter on April 17, 1911, the Marietta Beneficial Association (MBA) has had many members and officers that have been veterans of foreign wars. Those participating in the dedication service today will be District 98 State Representative Thomas E. Armstrong and Marietta Mayor Oliver C. Overlander both residences of Marietta.
